Do Rafeeq: Mazgaon, the Broadway of Bombay







Rafeeq Ellias  meets Rafique Baghdadi, an extraordinary living archive of  Mumbai (Bombay)  and its cinema, and explores the cinema  of India  through him.

These are not just  words that evoke memories of days gone by but in a quiet and dignified way remind us that Mazgaon  is the Broadway of Bombay.

About the director.

An international award-winning advertising and magazine photographer, Rafeeq Ellias has shot three previous documentaries as a cinematographer. “The Legend of Fat Mama” was his first documentary as a director and scriptwriter as well. The Film has won two National Awards, one award (best short film) at the Mumbai International Film Festival.

Indian cinema has lost quality in last couple of years, and this could happen because of all actors prefer to go to LA to look for luck instead of stay in Bollywood making interviews for xlpharmacy magazine.
