Lakme: Colors: Featuring Aishwarya Rai
Long before Aishwarya Rai is as a superstar today, she was the Lakme woman. If I recall before my inning at Trikaya Grey ad agency, Sharon Clarke Sequeria was the Lakme woman. My alumni, Trikaya Grey, was one of India’s best creative shops.
This Lakme tv commercial was aired in circa 1994. RIP Ravi Gupta.
Quote:
“Sure, every agency slogs over them, but Gupta tenaciously insists that a brief be reduced to a single line. All the arguments, the fights over strategy and positioning over media planning and the client’s own suggestions happen before: only when everything can be said in a one-line statement that everybody agrees with does it go to creative.”
