The rush to attract online consumers will begin early this year, rather than wait for the Thanksgiving weekend. By Nov 4, more than half, 62.5 percent, of multichannel retailers said they would start holiday promotions, and 38.5 percent would at least begin to market sales.
Retailers plans to tap blogs, RSS feeds and viral marketing to attract more online sales this year, according to the 2006 eHoliday Mood Survey released Wednesday. The study was conducted by BizRate Research for Shopzilla and Shop.org (via InternetWeek.)
